Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 August 2026
1. About these terms
My Vacation Discover (“My Vacation Discover,” “we,” “us”) arranges discounted all-inclusive resort stays. These terms apply to your purchase of a stay through us, and to any upgrade you add. By reserving, you agree to them. Please read them before you pay.
2. What you’re buying
Your reservation covers a stay of six days and five nights for two adults, all-inclusive, for one flat price of $299 (USD) before tax. Any applicable tax is added at checkout, as set out in section 9. “All-inclusive” means the following are part of your stay at no extra charge:
- Six days and five nights of accommodation for two adults
- Three meals daily plus snacks, across the resort’s à la carte restaurants and buffet
- Drinks throughout your stay: domestic beer and cocktails, select international brands, and house wine with meals
- Pools, beach access, and daily activities including non-motorized water sports
- Evening entertainment
- Wi-Fi
- Access to the resort’s Kids Club
- Airport pickup on arrival (see section 4)
3. Where you’ll stay
Your stay is at Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata, in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.
If that resort cannot accommodate the dates you request, we will place you at Casa Marina Sosua, Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive, in Sosúa on the same north coast, on the same terms: six days and five nights, all-inclusive, for two adults, with no blackout dates. We will tell you in writing which resort your reservation is at before your dates are confirmed.
4. Airport transfer
Airport pickup on arrival is included, from Puerto Plata (POP) airport only. Your pickup is arranged by our customer service team after you book. Transfers from any other airport are not included. The return trip to the airport is not included and is your responsibility.
5. Not included
Anything not listed in section 2 is not included, for example: flights and airfare; the return airport transfer; travel between other airports and the resort; passports, visas, and travel documents; travel insurance; spa services, motorized water sports, and other paid resort extras; gratuities and tips, which are always optional and at your discretion; and personal expenses.
6. The sponsored-stay visit
Your $299 price is sponsored by the resort. In exchange, during your stay you agree to attend one promotional presentation about the resort’s vacation-club and ownership opportunities, lasting approximately 120 minutes, at a location our customer service team arranges. Attendance is a condition of the sponsored rate. You are never obligated to purchase anything at the presentation, and your stay is unaffected by whether you do. Standard eligibility conditions for the sponsored rate (such as minimum age and attending as a couple) are confirmed with you on a short verification call after you book.
7. Booking your travel dates
You reserve now and set your travel dates with us afterward. Dates can be booked any time within twelve (12) months of your purchase, with no blackout dates, subject to availability at the time you request them.
Advance notice is required. Date requests must be made at least 45 days before your intended arrival. For travel in December or March, at least 60 days’ notice is required. Dates are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so request early, particularly for those two months.
Do not book flights until we have confirmed your reservation and dates in writing. We cannot be responsible for travel booked before that confirmation.
8. Arrival and check-in
A valid major credit card in the lead guest’s name is required at check-in, and again at the sponsored-stay visit. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. Debit cards and check cards are not accepted, including those carrying a Visa or Mastercard logo. Without a valid credit card the resort cannot check you in. Nothing is charged to that card as a condition of check-in; the resort holds it in the ordinary way any hotel does.
If you do not arrive for confirmed dates and have not told us beforehand, a no-show fee of $250 per night for three nights applies. Contact us as early as you can if your plans change, and see section 10.
9. Payment
All prices in these terms are shown before tax. Any applicable tax is added at checkout and shown in full before you pay, and that full amount is charged at the time you reserve, through our secure payment processor. Your reservation is confirmed once payment is received. Charges appear on your statement as My Vacation Discover.
10. Cancellations, refunds and transfers
Subject to any statutory cancellation rights that apply where you live, refunds aren’t available once your reservation is made. The sponsored rate is locked with the resort at the time of purchase, which is what makes it possible. Your travel dates remain flexible within the twelve-month window and the package price you locked in doesn’t change. If your plans change, contact us and we will do our best to move your trip rather than cancel it.
Your reservation is transferable. You may pass it to another couple, provided they meet the same eligibility conditions for the sponsored rate. Tell us before your dates are confirmed so we can put the reservation in their names.
11. The upgrades
Three optional upgrades are offered when you reserve. You are never required to buy any of them, and your stay is unaffected if you do not.
Every upgrade is a separate trip, taken later. Neither the cruise nor the second trip attaches to your Puerto Plata stay, extends it, or runs alongside it. Each is booked with our team when you are ready to travel. Both trip upgrades are non-refundable on the same basis as the package in section 10, and both are subject to availability at the time you request dates, on the same first-come, first-served basis.
11.1 Date Change Protection — $29
Date Change Protection lets you move a booking once, at no charge, with at least 30 days’ notice before your travel date. It applies to your Puerto Plata stay and to both trip upgrades if you have bought them. After you have rebooked, you keep the right to cancel the new dates, again with at least 30 days’ notice, without a fee — this releases your dates, not your purchase, which remains non-refundable under section 10.
Date Change Protection is a date-change waiver. It is not travel insurance. It does not cover medical costs, flights, trip cancellation, or anything other than changing the dates of a booking with us.
11.2 Cruise Certificate — $119
The Cruise Certificate covers a cruise of eight days and seven nights for two adults plus up to two children aged twelve and under, sailing the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska or Canada.
Cruise fares carry port charges, taxes and government fees, which are not included in the $119 and are payable when you book your sailing. Our customer service team confirms those amounts, the cabin available to you, and how long the certificate remains valid, after you have travelled on your Puerto Plata stay. The sailing, the cruise line and the dates are arranged with you at that point.
11.3 Second Trip — $199
The Second Trip covers a further all-inclusive stay of six days and five nights for two adults plus up to two children aged twelve and under, at one of our partner destinations: Cancún, Los Cabos, Florida or the Caribbean islands. It remains valid for five years from your Puerto Plata stay.
The resort is assigned by our team when you book, from those available on your dates, so no specific property is guaranteed. The same advance notice applies as for your first stay: at least 45 days, or 60 days for travel in December or March. Our customer service team confirms the destinations open to you at the time you book.
11.4 Children
Your Puerto Plata stay in section 2 is for two adults. The Cruise Certificate and the Second Trip each additionally cover up to two children aged twelve and under. Children’s inclusions, and any resort or cruise-line charges for them, are confirmed with you when that trip is booked.
12. Eligibility and verification
You must be at least 18 years old and provide valid identification to purchase. Reservations are subject to a short verification call after booking, on which we confirm your details and the conditions of the sponsored rate. If we cannot confirm your reservation on that call, we will offer you an alternative stay rather than a refund.
13. The resort and our role
The stay is provided by the resort. My Vacation Discover arranges and books your sponsored stay and supports you from reservation through arrival; the resort is responsible for the accommodation, meals, and on-property services. Resort facilities and activities are subject to the resort’s own rules, availability, and seasonal changes. The same applies to any cruise line or partner resort involved in an upgrade.
14. Changes and availability
The offer, inclusions, and resort are subject to availability and may change. Any change to a reservation already made will be confirmed to you in writing.
15. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with a reservation is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for matters outside our reasonable control, including acts of the resort, weather, travel disruptions, or events beyond our control.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. My Vacation Discover is the trade name under which this website is operated and your stay is arranged. Any dispute relating to these terms or your reservation is handled under Mexican law.
